My sweet Toby had a milestone b-day in 2008 also!! He turned 30! For all of you that never knew his age...yes, I did rob the cradle a tiny bit! :) Anyway..to make up for forgetting to give his milestone a shout out, here is a pic from our awesome evening out with Sunni, Rich and Chris M! Love you Tob!

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year!

It's been a while since I posted! I'll tell you that it wasn't because I was too busy, in fact, just the opposite. I spent most of the month nestled up on the couch with Toby and the boys and a good movie while it snowed outside. I'm pretty sure that we played more games of Monopoly in the 2 weeks that we were snowed in then I have in my whole 34 years. The boys couldn't get enough. It was such a nice break from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We went to bed late and slept in later every morning. It was a great reminder of life when the boys were babies and I was a stay at home mom; except for the sleeping in part. That is one of the only perks to your children growing up...you finally get that sleep that you prayed for as you watched infomercials at 3am!

Christmas was so nice this year. We got our wish of a white Christmas. It was so cozy! Toby and I decided to have a low key Christmas this year. We made a ham dinner for our little family Christmas Eve and then opened our gifts. We broke down and bought the boys phones. They were pretty excited to say the least.

Trav, Es, Joann and Sophia came over for dinner Christmas day. I loved that we didn't leave our house once. I always get so burned out running from house to house; so it was a nice change. Joann surprised us all with Wii's and I will admit that I am an addict! I even joke that I have tennis elbow from playing too much! (I really do)

We rang in the new year with all of our good friends and ended up at Trav and Esther's with Jeff and Dezi to do some bowling. It was a good time!

I am excited for the new year and what it will bring to my family. I have a feeling this will be a big year! The boys both had a milestone birthday last year with Landon becoming a teenager and Logan hitting double digits! It was a hard one for me. I wish I could freeze time and keep them like this forever, however, I have wanted to do that each year since they were born! I say that, but I know that if it were possible, I would miss out on the growing journey. I absolutely love watching them grow and become the wonderful men that I know they will be. I have a relationship with them that has exceeded any expectation I ever had and for that I am grateful.

With all of that said, I hope that all of my friends and family have a wonderful year that brings joy and laughter every day! We deserve it!

Love you all,
Sandy
